Location

The Oconto River is located in North-eastern Wisconsin. The area of interest for this project were near the three towns of Oconto Falls, Gillet, and Spruce Wisconsin. The Oconto River inlet is located in Sturgeon Bay, and from there the river continues to travel westward for about 57 miles. 

 

Watershed 

When analyzing the flooding conditions of the Oconto River it is important to locate a specific stream gauge. For this project a stream gauge was located through the use of USGS. For this particular stream gauge, the watershed that drains into it is highlighted in yellow and covers an area of 730 square miles.
